Before you write

If data appears missing, contact support before deleting or reinstalling the app. Do not reset your only copy of workout history to troubleshoot.

Storage and changing phones

Starting with version 1.0.0 build 142, selected workout, program and progression information syncs through your iCloud account. Profile details, body measurements, exercise restrictions, Fuel, notes, photos and Coach history stay on this iPhone. Build 142 restores generic labels and omits RPE. Starting with build 143, workout names, program-day names, custom exercise names and RPE sync too. Names sync as entered, including any personal information in them. Older details can only be recovered if they remain available in iCloud. Social and external AI have separate sharing paths. A setup or ready status does not prove an upload or restore has finished.

Keep the original installation until you have checked workout history on the new device and preserved local information you need. Deleting the app can permanently remove that information. The app marks its Library, including records and preferences, for backup exclusion, so do not rely on a backup or phone transfer. Quick Start and other transfer routes have not all been verified. Re-enter your age and exercise restrictions before using Coach after a fresh install. JSON export is available, but this version cannot import it in-app.

Which reset should I use?

Reset This Device Only works offline, clears this device and pauses workout sync. Your online account, shared posts and existing cloud copies remain. Reset Synced Workout History additionally deletes shared workout posts and queues deletion of the new iCloud workout history. It needs an iCloud connection; local completion does not confirm remote deletion. Neither removes old-container copies written by earlier builds. Delete Account removes the server account first, then uses the device-only reset.

Older versions may have saved additional information in iCloud. This update does not automatically erase those copies, and an older installation may continue syncing them. Contact support before attempting to remove old cloud history.
